They tried charging me 320$ for a 5-2-1 compressor saver WHICH COSTS 33$ ON AMAZON AND EBAY!!! Biggest scam i've EVER seen
As a client of American Home Sheild we call them for all of our a/c reapirs. They sent out Airtronics this time and we were highly pleased. We contact AHS with an emergency appointment since I was very close to delivering my baby. Airtronics called me within 30 minutes of talking with AHS and said they would have a tech out with 2 hours. Dave came out and was very professionl and personable. He discovered that my condensor needed to be replaced. He told us that it would take approximatly 3-5 days to get the new unit replaced through the warranty company. Well with a new baby coming any day I could not take the chance the a/c would ot work so I asked Dave what we could do to get this changed out ASAP. Dave then got on the phone with his boss at Airtronics and he talked with the warranty company and he was able to get the new unit ordered and installed the next day!!!! I delivered my baby the day after and was able to bring her home to cool comfortable home thank to Airtronics caring for their customers. Airtronics will always be my a/c and heating company!
I called American Home Shield on Friday to request a service call because our air conditioner quit cooling. After not hearing from Airtronics I finally called Saturday early afternoon. She said they could not send anyone out until Monday. She assured me that I would be first on the list to call Monday morning. It is now Wednesday and after not receiving a call I called back only to be told a tech couldn't come until tomorrow! WTF? Supposedly someone called and left a message on Monday on my cell phone. Funny how I have no record of a missed call or a voicemail! This company is horrible! After reading some of the "good" reviews below it is my opionion they are fake. I can't believe any of these people actually had a tech out within 30 min to a couple of hours. I would not be dealing with these people if i didn't have AHS.
Technicians came out twice to the house and were unable to fix the AC problem. They promised to order "another" part. We have been waiting for 6 days with NO AC. Every time we called Airtronics for an update, we got the pathetic answer that they will look into it and call us back. We have American Homeshield. They even sent Airtronics messages for feedback on our issue, however, to no avail. We ended up calling another AC company and bypassing American Homeshield, paying in full and getting our AC fixed.
Great, talented technicians, and awesome customer service. Not to mention I couldn't trust the technicians more. I explained to Duane, this nice young man that came out to my house that I wasn't able to spend a lot of repairs and he was understanding and told me what NEEDED to be fixed and what was most cost efficient. WOW! would never go anywhere else but Airtronics!
Consistently Not Ready to Work – I have American Home Shield and for some reason they keep using Airtronics. Last summer the AC just wasn't working at all. Airtronics came out and didn't have the 410A refrigerant that my modern unit uses. The reason? Well, most of the homes in my area use older AC units. Why send the guy out if he isn't prepared to work? They came out 5 times and never did get the AC working. Finally, AHS sent out another company and their guy spent the day here analyzing what was going on. He discovered a hole in the cold air pipe and fixed it along with some minor repairs on other items. This fellow was from Ultra Services and he did a way better job than the string of people sent out by Airtronics. The AC started working much better.
Well, this summer, the AC still struggles to keep the house cool. I call AHS and they send out Airtronics again. Takes them 5 days to get a technician out. He arrives and tells me the duct work in the attic is leaking a lot of air and he will have to contact his "installation people" to get them to come out and fix it. So, here we go again with the merry go round of people coming out. I have wasted enormous amounts of time away from work to be here for their repairmen only to find out they haven't got the right tools, really can't fix what is broken, it's not their job, etc etc.
Kind reader, I have to live with whoever AHS sends out. You don't . Hire someone else and make sure before they even come out that you ask them to be ready to make repairs when they arrive. The Ultra Services guys were more diligent and, to me, really seemed to take the time to find out just exactly what was wrong.
Rude Technician – Tried to purchase a single part. Tech would not inform me of price of part and further wished to extort $120 to deliver it.
Awesome response time – Our A/C stopped working and it's 95 outside. We have 3 small children at home. Airtronics sent someone within 30 mintues and fixed the problem! I am so impressed. I hope that AHS always uses them first for the Katy area...
Excellent Service – I won't ever need to shop for an A/C repair company again. I have found the best! I have owned my home for eight years and have had three different A/C companies here to conduct repairs. Airtronics, by far, has provided the most professional and expedient service to date. When my A/C stopped working last month I contacted one company who told me it would be five days until they could get a technician to my home. Upon calling Airtronics, they had someone here within five hours. Above all, I appreciate the courtesy and concern shown by customer service for my family and I, as the heat was unbearable.
Thank you!!! – Our AC went out over the weekend and, with 3 small kids at home, I was looking to get it fixed as quickly as possible. The people at Airtronics were so helpful and fast to respond. The fact that they were able to get to our house so quickly saved us from having to haul everybody to a hotel for the weekend. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for being so fast and professional!
