However, not the best environment, not the nicest employees, and certainly not the best ice cream. I understand Austin LOVES its local businesses. Amy's is in a word 'corporate' but still the locals feel its a special Austin thing. This makes no difference to me if the product isnt even worthy. I have to admit, some flavors are intersting, Shiner and Guinness are clever but not unique. Guinness Ice Cream is something Ive had many times in the Carribean and West Indies. Other flavors have been so sickening sweet Ive thrown it out before being half way finished. I am not impressed with the theatrics of the kids who scoop and squish. Ive had more bad attitude from employees while trying to be cute than Ive had actual good service. Hint to Amy's - Stop trying so hard.
Pros: I have not gotten sick
Cons: Ice Cream, environment, employees
