The only positive comment I can make about this place is that we went there before the crowd and didn't have to wait. I don't mind the decor, but the pancakes were flat, flavorless and dry. There was absolutely nothing memorable about the food - and if you dare to name yourself 'pancake corral' they better be memorable. I paid $3.50 for a medium glass of Minute Maid orange juice and was highly dissapointed with the whole experience.
Pros: Small - so you get your food fast
Cons: Nothing memorable about the pancakes

I had a huge craving for pancakes/waffles a few months ago and wanted to try somewhere other than IHOP. I looked for a place nearby and found Chace's Pancake Corral and read some great reviews about it, so I decided to give it a try. Their pancakes are the FLUFFIEST pancakes I have ever had! They were delicious! On another trip back a few weeks ago, I tried the French Toast that I had wanted to try on the first visit, and again I wasn't disappointed. Great breakfast food and very friendly atmosphere!
Pros: Delicious food, great service, "family restaurant" atmosphere
Cons: Long wait if you get there after 10am on weekends, parking lot is small

Man you guys are harsh. I know alot of things have gone down hill since Bill passed away but saying that it is awful isn't so. Just because your food doesn't taste like everywhere else doesn't make it bad. It's just not like your eggo waffles or your Denny's pancakes. You know why it tastes funny and unusual?....it's made with love.

Super friendly service. Very bland food. Dry pancakes with funny tasting butter and lowgrade syrup. $2.50 for a very small glass of orange juice from concentrate. My son, who likes any kind of pancake or waffle said his waffle tasted "wrong", I tried it and sure enough it was as dry and flavorless as the pancakes. I must say I was crushed that the food was so unimpressive as I have lived on the Eastside for years and always see people lined up to go there.
Pros: Very friendly service
Cons: Disappointing food

An absolute classic breakfast joint - I've been coming here for most of my lifetime. I've been at countless breakfast nooks and crannies all over the country, and Chace's has absolutely the best pancakes anywhere (especially the blueberry). Whatever you order, you can't go wrong - it's breakfast bliss (leave the Adkins diet at home). While the price is right, and I can appreciate the small Mom & Pop ambiance that has been the root of its charm over the decades, I'm probably one of the few thinking they need to do at least some kind of modest expansion of facility and parking; to rid of the other abandoned structure on the lot for more parking if nothing else. If you live as far as Tacoma or Edmonds, this place is worth the drive. If you're visiting Seattle from out of town, make it a point to stop by here.
Pros: food, atmosphere, price
Cons: , slightly small, ADA access issues

Chaces is a little spot to go when you don't want all the hype. The food is great and the service is friendly and professional. They don't hover and they don't forget about you. I would definately recommend this spot to anyone...just make sure you get there early since there is usually a line.

This place is a landmark, their constant business is well deserved. I moved to the Eastside 21 years ago and have been enjoying Chace's great food since then. Very reasonable, try the hashbrown omelet or some waffles!

Come to my house, I will make you a better breakfast. Chaces exemplifies what is wrong with the Eastside...laid back friendly service that serves overpriced, average food. It may be a local favorite, but the locals do not know what a quality breakfast is.
Pros: Grandma serves U
Cons: bland food, crowded, small portions

The service was friendly and efficient, but the food was just plain bad. We had pancakes and OJ. I didn't think you could mess that up, but Chaces Pancake Corral proved me wrong. The actual pancakes themselves seemed ok, but the "butter" is some kind of fake margerine stuff. Whatever it is, I'm sure it's cheap. The "maple syrup" isn't maple syrup. It's the cheap fake corn syrup stuff. They don't even offer maple syrup for an extra charge. And the OJ is some kind of insta-concentrate stuff. Even my college cafeteria served up better food. I'm not sure why someone would actually choose to drive to eat here. If you're in the mood for breakfast, anyplace is better than this.
Cons: fake, cheap
