I made reservations through ticketweb for a larger party to attend the performance. The manager, John, was absolutely rude to myself and my guests. Upon arrival they first said that they didn't have any seats for us because we weren't there before 10pm. Then, when I pointed out to the staff that we had already paid for the tickets over a month ago they quickly put together seating for us. This was all fine except for the fact that the placed half of our group BEHIND A POLE in the middle of the theater!! When I went to talk to John again to try and figure out other options for seating he was rude, with no apology or accomodations. Now, myself and my significant other, who was having his 30th birthday that night, love Mitch Fatel. However, we could have done just as well to listen to him on XM Radio as all that we could see throughout the show was his hand occasionally from behind the pole. We will certainly not be attending comedy at Acme again and the 8 other guests and their friends probably won't either. It is too bad because I enjoy comedy.

After going to this club almost 100 times, 90 to be exact, one show was terrible, that's bound to happen, but this was beyond terrible, it was over the top. I wrote an email to management to cal lans discuss what had happened, after writing 2 emails, he finally returned a call- at noon, on a sunday, to my office line- I jsut happened to be in. He immediatley was on the defensive, bad mouthing how I didn't understand comedy, I "must not be a very fun or funny guy, how I just didn't get it." I must not have, nor the other 50 people that walked out of the show. David Feldman was the comic that night, he was picking on pregnanat women in audience staing they were "whor**," security had to restain one guy b/c he would talk back and stand up for himself- he as not out of line in doing so. When the manager called, he was rude, interupted, was swearing, stated "acme doesn't want customers like you"... like me? I guess they don't want patons that go every other week, talk good about the club... I returned by saying "if you don't want good clients, I won't come back- I couldn't treat MY clients like that..... that's business sir" his return comment "F*** you" and hung up.... great way to treat you customers!
Pros: opening acts
Cons: management is rude to clients, main acts ussually are not that great

I first went to Acme when I saw it on NBC'S Last Comic Standing and I wasn't disappointed. The staff, comedy, atmospere was wonderful, and I felt a little cheeky and a bit smug about finding this jewel in my back door. I recommend this for anyone with a sense of humor, and an appetiete for great food and drinks!
Pros: Funny, great food and drinks, get to see people from tv in a live uncensored setting
Cons: great drinks, infact too good, I didn't want to leave

Went recently with a group of 12 people. The atmosphere of the bar and club are both great, feels very hip. Although the club is no where near any place to go afterward, you will be captive in the club for a while if you have had a drink or two. Cheap bar food (good quality) is off-set of course by the spendy drinks - that is, if you can get one. Waitstaff in the bar brought 2 drinks to our table - one which had a fruit-fly floating in it, the other had sort of like a spitball frozen in the ice. Really disgusting, and management only comped the spitball drink. Try not to go with a large group or they will give you the cheap seats in the back of the room with only hightops or your knee to balance your drinks upon. Overall - comedians were above-average and atmosphere is good ; be wary of drinks served in the dark.
Pros: Good entertainment value
Cons: service and apparent cleanliness

We were held up at the ticket "booth" because they didn't get our confirmation for tickets we ordered through the web (it all finally worked out, but bring your confirmation #!). The pre-show bartender was rude. I went to get three of us a beer and she snottily said (after seeing I was well over 30) that she needed to see IDs for everyone. I told her to pour two more and I'd get the IDs (as she was pouring). She said "NO! I need their IDs FIRST!". As for the comedy, the headlining comedian we saw was absolutely hilarious. The carafe drinks were outstanding (try the Bomb Pop, YUM), but the waitress didn't come around much so others at the table were ordering 2 drinks at a time when she came.
Pros: Hilarious, Drinks
Cons: , Online ticket issue, Service

After spending 1000's of $$ for our corporate Christmas party we were treated horrible by the management/owner. The comedian asked where our group was from, started bantering a woman with us...starting with calling her "not the Virgin Mary" (funny) to a douche (not funny at all) After that the crowd stopped laughing. Mgmt didn't care, said it was her fault, kicked her out of the club. The owner was arrogant and rude. Never did anyone apologize. I'm amazed that that club would allow a comedian to ridicule one of their guests--with this type of treatment I don't know how they keep customers. When discussing this with a mgr in front of their restaurant he told us to whisper he didn't want the guests to hear us saying the word "douche" but it was ok for their comedian to call our employee that on a microphone in front of hundreds.
Cons: expensive, not funny, unprofessional mgmt.

Monday night open-mic is just about the best thing you can go to in the cities. You can't beat two hours of great comedy for free. Drinks are kind of pricey, but they come in carafe's. The place is always packed on open-mic nights so get there early. If you are lucky a big name comic might come and do a practice run of their show that people have to pay for on other nights. Damon Wayans was in town for a Mystic Lake show and performed for an hour after the regular open-mic was done once. Are you going to ACME? Yes you are!! (Thank You Isaac Whitty...)
Pros: Free, Funny
Cons: Smokey, Parking
