Warning: Psychiatric Help Needed by Zack T. at InsiderPages

Contributor at Insider Pages

I'm friends with Katie that owns Red. Why all the bad-mouthing about the pony that YOU removed ONE day after it was PUT DOWN? YOU were the one that told the owners to leave it there, so how is that their fault? I've met the people that owns MLPF and i KNOW their vet. And that pony died of natural causes (cancer). If my dog dies from heart failure is that my fault too? You people really need to get some psychiatric help. Katie showed me the fencing and run-ins that were built FOR YOU! YOU were supposed to reduce board, which was never done. So here is one for everyone... don't believe this crazy woman!

Cloverleaf rocks

by RyanBhorses at Citysearch

I have gone there 5 years, i am a certified vet assistant and never had a bad day there or seen nay abuse only love. Rosie puts togeather great shows, lessons, trails, camps, and boarding. BarrelBurner does not know what she is talking about. I have been to the stables she was talking about and i would like to pet a horse without being charged! Rosie will gladly let you help out, see her horses and much more for FREE! She does not over work her horses! And another thing Barrelburner said that Rosie just treats her horses bad she does not!!!! I have seen her take girls off their horses because they threatened her horses saftey in any way. Barrelburner must have no idea what she is talking about because even the staff at a hotel close by aprove of her. ROSIE ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Pros: loves her animals cares about you local laid-back country
  • Cons: none I can think of

A nice place to enjoy being with horses

by NewRider23 at Citysearch

If you want a low key friendly place to ride this is it. It's not a fancy place but the horses are well cared for. Rosie, the owner, really cares about her horse and riders. She keeps the environment casual but safe. I have had lessons and trail rides changed or cancelled over concern for the health and safety of the horse, due to bad weather or the horse's condition. Rosie takes care in matching the horse and riders. The trails in the Woodlawn Trust by the farm are great. You can ride for miles. The instructors/guides are qualified, knowledgeable, and caring but perhaps not certified. Some times I just stop by to say hello to a horse after a bad day, not to spend money on a trail ride or lesson, and Rosie is welcoming. The only thing that could be better is they could use a better riding ring.

Unlike Sheeder Mill Farm (yes I have ridden there numerous times too) you do not have to ride your horse on the road shoulder to access the trails or as part of the ride. Cloverleaf seems more like a friendly, family, farm and SMF is run more like a business. SMF horses are good and well taken care of but I doubt the owner would be happy to see me stop in just to pet a horse unless they could charge me for it.

  • Pros: friendly, casual, nice horses
  • Cons: riding ring, sometimes hard to make reservation,
