I've tried a lot of different hair salons in Miami, but didn't find anything I like until I went to Lyons to buy Kerastase products. Rocky ended up showing me what to buy, and I liked it so much I've gone back twice for cut and color. He does an amazing job and does it quickly, so I don't waste half my day in the salon. He treats me really well every time I come in. All of the employees are very friendly, unlike at many Miami salons where the people are stuck up. This place rocks!!!
Pros: great service, decent price, great hair style
Cons: none

From the moment i walked into Lyons salon and spa i was NOT recognized or greeted. But I looked passed that and went to get my facial with Martha and my hair cut with DIna. What an awful experience, first the facial was so aggressive and unrelaxing, it felt more like she was busy tring to sell me products then do my facial and to top it off in the facial room you could hear all the noice from the salon side. Then i went to Dina i told her i wanted to grow out my hair and guess what she did? She copped it all off literally! Then i ened up paying over $150 to get my hair copped off, to have the most unrelaxing facial and a sales pitch.
Pros: nice location
Cons: very unprofessional staff and not worth your money

I am excited to share my experience through this review because I am so excited to have discovered this magnificent salon and spa. Lyons Salon and Spa is my haven. After moving to South Florida from New York I was desperate to find a salon that carried my skin care line and hair care line (Dermalogica and Kerastasse). I was referred to Lyons by both of these companies and have since fallen in love with the place, my stylist (Rocky Lyons) and the spa staff. Rocky cuts and styles my curly hair beautifully and I look forward to my manicures and pedicures with Yanet in the beautiful and relaxed spa setting. My facialist there is Martha and from time to time my massages with Denise are also incredible. I am a very savvy and picky New Yorker and never thought that I could be so pleased in Miami with all my services under one roof. Rocky, I have come to learn is somewhat of a celebrity in the area and not only does he live up to his reputation as a curly hair expert, but he is very charming and friendly turning me onto great places for entertainment and food as he is a Miami native. I highly recommend Lyons.

Since moving from LA, a few months ago, I had yet to find a salon that had the quality or the vibe that Lyons Salon has. A friend recommended them and I was fortunate enough to get the owner, Rocky Lyons to work with me. He's a very cool guy and my hair didn't go into "shock" right away after it was cut like at some of the other places I've visited here. This place is an oasis tucked in a little neighborhood. I'm definitely going back for the spa too. Another great thing about Lyons is he's not into the usual chatty BS I've had to tolerate from other stylists. He's a total professional, extremely knowledgable on music as well as hair. He seems to be very popular with his clients too, they all came in and were greeted warmly.
Pros: Great atmosphere, happy with my hair, hottie staff
Cons: none

Ok, so this was a really nice salon. I was excited to get my hair cut here and my stylist was a guy named Rocky. I had grown my hair out so that it could be styled. I looked like a wild man for over a month and told Rocky this. So what does this guy do, he chops off all of my hair in about 3 minutes and then charged me 50 dollars. What an A_S. my har cut was worse than a supercuts hair cut. Other than that the salon is nice just avoid this guy at all costs unless you want somone that will cut your hair in two minutes and not give a F_ck about what you want or how you look when your done. Trust me you will be very very unhappy if you let this guy cut your hair.
Pros: Nice place, Treat you well
Cons: Rocky Rocky Rocky Rocky Rocky

I went to this place after reading the reviews on this site. Rocky cut my hair. He probably spent all of 20 minutes cutting my hair, and when I left I thought it looked OK. I wasn't that excited by it, but usually I need to style it myself before seeing if it's really a good cut or not. After washing it the next day, it became quite evident that he had totally butchered my hair. The left side was practically an inch longer than the right! There were random long strands out of place all over! Basically, it was really one of the worst cuts I've EVER had. I debated going back to have him fix it -- after all, I had spent $70 for the cut -- but I decided that it was worth it to pay someone else to fix it so that he couldn't damage it even further. I went to a place in S Beach that my NY hairdresser recommended, and I am so much happier. Thankfully, he hadn't ruined it to the point where a GOOD hairdresser couldn't fix it. But I definitely want to warn others!
