Yesterday, I had the distinct pleasure of testifying as a witness in a Bankruptcy Hearing. I had never been in a Federal Courtroom before and it was a beautiful setting. The sound system could have been better as I found it difficult to hear but I do have some hearing loss. My main reason for contacting you is to let you know how much I appreciated being in the Honorable Lee M. Jackwig's court. She patiently waited, listened, and took copious notes while people were speaking. Her ruling at the end was filled with informed logic, sympathy, and balanced justice. Most of all, I was appreciative of her forgiveness of my ignorance of proper courtroom protocol when I raised my hand to ask a question at the end of the proceedings. If I ever have occasion to be in a Federal Court again, my hope is that the Honorable Lee M. Jackwig is presiding.
