After 20 years of having long hair I knew it was time for a change. Since I wasn't going to just get a trim, I decided to research online different hair salons in South Florida. After reading the reviews on Patrick I knew I had to go see him. He examined my hair and we spoke about the look I was gearing towards, as well as the current condition of my hair. He studied my hair, my face, and looked at me in different angles as an artist looks at canvas. He recommended that based on the condition of my hair I should fix the unevenness before cutting it in the style that I initially wanted, otherwise the haircut would be too short. Something that stood out for me was that he sincerely cared about my hair. Throughout the entire haircut process I witness a true professional at work. He never rushed the haircut, (as some hair stylist tend to do), and was precise with every cut he made. He was aiming towards perfection, and that was exactly what I ended up with. The perfect haircut! The quality of the haircut is like non-other I've ever had. Besides having many years of experience and possible being the best in this industry, Patrick is a very sweet man. My only regret was not finding him earlier. KL

I have long, fine, straight, limp hair, and if not cut properly (as it usually happens), it appears as if it is finer, limper and lifeless. It was wonderful to finally find a stylist who understands the challenges and the dos and the don’ts when cutting this type of hair. And, lucky me, he is right here in Miami!! Patrick gave me a cut that made my hair look more abundant, bouncier and gloriously luxurious (and he didn’t even use styling products when drying it). He takes time to listen and explain what he will do. He is extremely talented and has gone beyond the artistic realm of his craft to create the first scientific system for cutting hair, which is why he can achieve such perfect and precise cuts. And on top of all this he is a charming and sweet soul. This is a stylist you can thoroughly trust.

I have the difficult task to exceed the other ladies positive comments about their great haircuts by Patrick Garelle, but I will try my best : Ladies: until you have your hair cut by him, you don't know what YOUR perfect cut could look like... After beeing warmly greeted by this european gentleman, it does not take him even 3 minutes, to figure out how you should wear your hair! He has the gift of this natural instict God put in his crib and he cannot control; it flows out of him like a hughe river, he feels the urge to put a perfect balance on our heads...and voila! The result is amazing and never before in my 55 years I had volume where I should ... and I had my hair cut in several continents... Best of all: he loves wash and wear cuts... isn't that great? Look, it's like having chocolate cake from Publix all your live and then you get to taste one from "Fauchon" in Paris, so please be prepared to pay for your artwork, not a haircut. One final note: bring cash or your checkbook, no credit cards accepted

I thought since he was an acclaimed hair stylist to the stars that it would have been a snobbish attitude and feel out of place, but he was the total opposite! I real sweetheart and listened and spoke to you just as one of his friends. I have been to numerous hair stylist and have always ended up with bad cuts, he is the best!! He did a haircut that goes great with my face and gave suggestions as well (leave it long and dont go blonde!). I had an appt the week before but there was awful traffic and couldnt make it, he was kind enough to call back and let me know where the accident was to avoid it. I love my haircut! He is the best! I would definetly go again and recommend others to go as well. BTW no cc ...a great stylist and awesome attitude and treatment, it cannot be beat!

As a M.D. - I am VERY picky about everything, but Patrick is perfect. He is able to use science to perfect the Art of the haircut. I have been all over the country and never had a person cut my hair with such precision, grace, and talent. Getting your haircut by Patrick is like having your dinner made by Emeril or Wolfgang Puck- he is the best of the best. Patrick is a Genius. He is the smartest hairdresser I have ever met (He literally applies laws of physics to your hair so that you get the best haircut for your face!) Your hair is not something to put in the hands of anyone- it is your crowning glory- so only go to the best. I am truly honored to have my hair cut by such a master stylist- I will never go to anyone else again. Oh and if you are wondering... He is superbly nice and unpretentious(No snobbery here!) Just the best hair cut you will ever have! So stop looking at other hair salons and make your appointment today! Thank you so much Patrick!

I had the pleasure yesterday of receiving the first cut in my 50 years that was truly designed with many things as elements, my lifestyle, age, shape of face, and what I wanted most of all, easy to maintain yet chic and carefree at the same time. I moved back to Coconut Grove after being gone for 20 years and spent the first year here working with a hairstylist who tried to give me what he thought best until the last cut was so terrible and not me, a friend mentioned Patrick and went to him. While he may be more than you are used to paying, there's no price to be put on a style that is uniquely you. And that's what he does. The precision is amazing yet it looks so natural. I went in with long hair to my shoulders and came out with a short cut that took 10 years off my appearance. I brought photos and he said no, that's not for you and let him do what was for me. As the inches came off (3-4) grew excited to see this master piece rather than trepidation that my hair was lying on the floor. He's a master and you know it the moment he begins. As he said, this cut will last a few months and still look very well and I can see that. How fortunate we are he's made Miami his home. Want to look your very best? Go see Patrick. There's a reason he's more expensive than other hairstylists -- mastery always is.

I went to Patrick Garelle's after reading the reviews posted on City Search and I have to say I am very happy I did! Patrick knew exactly what needed to be done to my hair, without me saying a word about what I was looking for or what I was expecting. He looks at every aspect of your hair - from the lifestyle you lead to the actual 'science' of your hair! He is wonderful!! Thanks Michele from Miami

I went to Patrick based on the reviews and bio here on Citisearch. I have to say that my experience with Patrick was exceptional. I went to him after having gone to a "curly hair specialist" who happened to ruin my hair. For weeks, I had been miserable with my hair. I thought it was too short for anyone to fix. I left Patrick Garelle's with an amazing cut. He spoke to me extensively about my hair, what cut he thought would be the best for me at this stage, how to get my curls back, what would fit my face, the color, everything. I felt totally confident in him. And I left his salon a loyal customer! I'm happy I've found a true professional. Don't hesitate; make an appointment.

I know because i have tried. I have been going to Patrick for more than 15 years. as with all relationships i have wandered and tried the newest or perhaps cheaper or maybe more convienient person next door. Let me just say this. LEARN from my mistakes! He is simply put "The Best" no one, and i do mean no one even comes close to his cuts. Many stylists will make you look great when you walk out the door. I have never had a cut from Patrick that did not look great for at least 3 months later. I am so happy i went back!

Pros: Great sense of humor!

Cons: far to drive for me.

I have known Patrick since 1990. At that time, a friend of mine flew him to Miami every six weeks to cut her hair. After awhile, she shared her secret with some of her friends and we few were fortunate enough to have Patrick give us haircuts that were absolutely perfect and grew in holding their great shape until the next time he returned. Patrick is, without doubt, among the best hair stylists in the world and Miami is very fortunate that he is now spending most of his time here.
