User Reviews for Alchemy Collections

Both my husband and I are very happy with their service! This is our first time buying modern furniture. Bought a couple of furniture pieces from Alchemy (sofa, dining table) and had their designer assist us with color choices and layouts. A nice collections and most items are reasonably priced (we are not ready to pay $10k for a couch). The furniture arrived as promised, but our condo was delayed for 2 months.

Pros: service

Cons: parking

I visited Alchemy after friends suggested it and was sorely disappointed (dont tell my friends). Yes, the staff is nice like other reviewers said. I ended up getting one of their sofas that has a simple sleek look (metal frame). It was not the most comfortable but I wanted it for a sitting room to look pretty. I have had it for less than a year and the sofa frame has already cracked and looks like it is smiling at me. I dont use it often nor am I over 160 lbs. I will never spend a couple of thousand for a sofa again from this location. I have never been happy with Chinese products made to look Italian and I wont be fooled again. I will just save for what I really want next time and not be fooled again. Buyer beware.

Pros: location

Cons: parking, poor quality product with minor use

Response from this business

Dear Anonymous Client
Posted on 07/25/2007
We deeply regret your poor experience with our company and would like the opportunity to make things right. At Alchemy Collections, we have sold hundreds of sofas in the last couple of years. Like every other business, it is inevitable that we have had to deal with a very small amount of damages. However, of all the sofas we have sold, not once have we had an issue with the “frame cracking.” Nonetheless, that is not to say that it did not happen. If your sofa frame has indeed cracked, I highly urge you to contact us. Pursuant to our warranty policy, when you purchase a sofa from Alchemy Collections, you automatically are covered under the three year warranty for any frame or hardware damages. Again, I would like to thank you for taking the time out to bring your experience to our attention and hope you will give us the opportunity to make amends. We see ourselves not as a young company, but as a growing one. We hope to hear from you very soon. Alchemy Management

Best experience I ever had in furniture store, if you dont want furniture that exactly same (like from mass produced IKEA or Crate & Barrel) as your neighbors or friends have, this is the place to be. Highly educated people, and very friendly, Hey, its not common to get serviced by Ivy League school educated people in any furniture store.

Pros: everything

Cons: nothing

I bought a couch from Alchemy and I get compliments all the time when I have guests over! The color combination they suggested is totally nothing I thought I would EVER consider but it turned out so luvly and matches my wall colors~ They even lend me a couch when I was waiting for mine... Being a hungry architect I think they have great prices, quality and service! But I wish they had a store in LA since I will be moving soon...

Pros: service, price

Cons: parking

Its been a while since my husband and I visited Belltown and what a pleasant surprise! We were actually looking for our favorite store Ian when we stumbled upon Alchemy. From the outside we thought it will be another high priced, high attitude store, but dont judge a book by its cover! The staff were actually very friendly and non-pretentious. Though I'm no furniture guru, I just bought some furniture last year and I think Alchemy really have some very nice furniture pieces at fair prices. Also, how many stores in Seattle do you see a Koi pond in the store! Now I'm tempted to redo my living room with their furniture, after visiting them I feel my living room furniture is so "last season".

Pros: Trendy, Shopping Environment, Prices

Cons: Parking

Great shopping experience. I went in on three seperate occations and although I never purchased any furniture the staffs are still very welcoming and friendly. Prices are very reasonable compare to some of the prices I've paid for my pieces at my house!

Pros: prices, non-salesy staff

Cons: parking

I stumbled upon this store while on a consulting assignment in Seattle. I wish they had the same store in New York because they have great sofas, tables, artwork, and home accessories. High quality, Stylish, Modern, and Affordable. Check it out! The beautiful store itself is worth checking out on a weekend afternoon. I highly recommend this store.

This is the best thing that has happened to Seattle. The owners of Alchemy are young, fresh, and are nothing short of pure talent. AC offers everything from contemporary style low sofas to solid wood style dining tables. This store is where East meets West. The quality is solid but the prices are even more unbelievable. My gf and I didn't even realize the decked out retail location was a store until we peaked into the window. This is a must-see store in Seattle, especially if you are in need of furniture.

Pros: Prices, Design, Service

Cons: Didn't Open Sooner
