I had a bad experience with my first acupuncturist and was wary about trying it again. Im glad I did. Kay was wonderful. She worked with me and based what she was doing on my individual problems. She was very patient and worked with me and my crazy insurance company to make sure all my needs were met. I highly recommend her and acupuncture!

I recently went to Kay for general fatigue as well as a sudden acne breakout on my shoulders (something was was rather embarrassed about ). Her warm nature and cozy office immediately made me feel comfortable. I have been to several acupuncturists over the years and I found Kay to have a the perfect combination of confidence and compassion. She also took the time to educate me about some lifestyle changes and answer my questions throughly. In fact I have never had an acupuncturist explain the treatments as she did. It truly helped me to understand the needle placement etc...something that always seemed a mystery to me. She was very gentle and checked in with me throughout the treatment. I left her office with more energy and my head felt 10 times clearer. I also left with the feeling that the acne was a simple imbalance that could be overcome not an ugly burden. In fact a week later my acne is almost completely gone and I only had one treatment!!!! Thank you KAY!!!

After suffering for 4 long and painful years from frequent and very painful migraines, I decided to try acupuncture, I sure had not gotten any useful help from western medicine. I admit that I had some doubts and fears as to whether I had made a good decision to try acupuncture. The first time I saw Kay, all those doubts and fears were immediately put to rest. My pain is being relieved more each time that I have a treatment. I also have suffered with anxiety and depression for some time due to my previous pain. Now, that too is being relieved each time that I receive a treatment from the very kind, gentle and very knowledge Kay Fields right away. I feel very fortunate indeed to have found this caring, and very competent lady. She has this wonderful ability to not only listen to her patients but to understand what is needed to really heal all of their aches and pains, worries and fears! Five Very Big Very Gold Stars for her! I very heartly endorse her for anyone who really wants to find the healing for which they search!!

Pros: Thumbs Very Very UP!!!!

Cons: There are none

I want to share one of my best kept secrets with you! My acupuncturist! I went to see Kay following problems with my lower back. I was initally hesitant to use acupuncture as a means of treatment, but Kay has enlightened me to the the use and benefits of this ancient medicine and I have continued to seek treatment for sports realted injuries (specifically knee), lower and upper back tension, sinus pressure, and body stress reduction. Beyond Kay's specialized training and knowledge, her warm and friendly personality make one feel right at home and make "doctor appoints," that I once would try to find ways to put off, a comfortable and healing expereince. Kay takes special time and effort in taking into consideration the holistic cause and effect of your injury and resulting pain. I noticed just after two to three visits a reduction in my lower back discomfort and have had great recovery progress with my current condition with my knee. As far as the idea of needles go, the treatments are not very invasive and actually can be quite relaxing. Along with more traditional approaches to healing, due to meeting Kay I have become a firm beliver in the use of acupuncture and herbal supplements as a means to address my present and future ailments. 5 STARS for Kay Fields, L.Ac & the clinic at 1962 NW Kearney #L103!!!!

I have been seeing Kay for about 6 months for several health issues, i.e. stess, anxiety and a sleep disorder. Overall I feel so much better. My stress and anxiety levels are almost nonexistent and am sleeping much better as well. Key is very knowledgeable, supportive and really listens to me. I highly reccommend her.

I am very technical and really rational, the alternative medecine was not for me very serious but i am also pragmatic. my wife, few year ago consulted her about our daughter who has been in trouble with stomac pain for years. Kay immediatly recommend to investigate allergic problems. She was right on. For month I had a muscle problem in a leg and a tenoditis on the elbow, that was really anoying and prevent me to do sport, I tried number of things bit it did not work. I did not think first about acupuncture, because ( with my technical rational) that was very mechanical and i didn't see how small pins can solve the problem. I finally tried short on alternatives, Kay sovle both issues within two weeks. She is wonderfull and very down to earth with very common sense advises and a real talent as acupuncturist. Thank you Kay.

As a first timer to acupuncture, I called an interviewed about 10 acupuncturists prior to making an appointment. After talking with Kay (for about 30 minutes) I knew she would be the one to help me heal myself. Her approach was the most holistic and the most caring. I am glad I trusted my instincts with Kay. As soon as we were in her office I knew that it was the right place: the atmosphere was comforting, and Kay was both genuine and knowledgeable. She thoroughly explained why I might be having the female health issues that I am having. It seemed fast, but after my first treatment I felt noticeably more myself. I feel more present and better able to greet life as it presents itself to me. Through charting, I was also able to determine that I ovulated either the day of or day after my treatment. I do not think this was a coincidence! I trust Kay because she is an amazing healer, and also because she has restored my ability to heal myself using a variety of techniques that she personalized for me.

Pros: Wonderful Setting

Kay helped me a lot with my hand pain, going well beyond sticking needles in me to suggest improvements in diet, exercise, and work habits to keep the pain from returning. She also worked hard with my less than cooperative health insurance company to ensure all my visits were covered. Her workspace is conveniently located, comfortable, and easy to relax in. I'd suggest Kay to anyone in Portland looking for an acupuncturist.
