Finding the right hardwood flooring online is almost next to impossible because most websites will show you one thing, then the showroom and/or samples give you another. SimpleFloors was the only place in the area I found that actually backed up what you see online with what they have in the showroom. I'd recommend browsing the great webpage they have, then taking a trip to Tukwila after narrowing down your choices. When i found what i liked online, I went in and was impressed at how well they had things setup. I was immediately greated at the door, and directed towards the styles i mentioned caught my eye online. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about not only the types of floors, but also what would work best for my home. I was impressed at how patient they were with me when i couldn't decide between two styles, and then gave me all their advice on the pros and cons of each. Overall, great experience across the board. I was extremely satisfied and highly recommend their service.

Pros: Staff, Selection, Pricing

Cons: Not all styles are immediately available

Starting my search for flooring was an adventure. I started with the usual local show rooms that are really for contractors, but, the general public can take a peek. I found generally - the prices were high and the quality varied a great deal. Next, it was on to the websites. I found Seattle Simple Floors when Googling for hardwood flooring products. The website was easy to navigate. The pricing was right up front. When I realized they actually had a show room in Tukwila, I knew that was my next stop. I selected the collection Vintage Chappel and the color Maple Stave. This product is hand scrapped. I loved the look. I had to call Charlie (the owner) back with my measurement, give him my bank card number to place the order. The flooring was drop shipped directly to my home. Everything went smoothly from the order to the shippment. The driver even helped us pack the flooring into the house (bonus for us). Not typical. I thought the flooring looked a little on the thin side - BUT Our son, (who installs flooring as his profession) in San Diego, CA., said "It looks good Ma" and agreed to come up and lay the flooring for us. He chose to lay the flooring with Mastic "glue down" application. Wow it turned out nice. Originally, I was a little skeptical about the Mastic as there is an odor during installation. My fears turned to joy...no kidding...no squeeks, and the smell goes away once the flooring is down and the Mastic can is covered up. We are pleased with our flooring and we think you will be too. Happy Flooring! Jane - Olympia, WA

Pros: Website - user friendly, Show room - nicely set-up

Cons: None

So we were in the market to put down new hardwood flooring and finally get rid of our nasty carpet! Like most of us these days I started my shopping journey online. After seeing what the web had to offer by far the most impressive and easy to navigate was the simplefloors website. The prices were lower than everyone else and the selection was awesome. So the next Saturday the wife and I went to the showroom to see if we couldn’t find a new floor. When we got there we were both pleasantly surprised by the large displays and very clean atmosphere (There’s even a kids area to keep junior occupied). We were interested in hand scraped hardwood and these guys have a ton to choose from like Brazilian teak, acacia, maple, oak ect.... The staff there is incredibly educated on flooring trends, construction, installation and just plain helpful. The wife and I narrowed it down to 3 choices that our salesman put in the window so we could see the floor in natural light. At that point we took a couple of free samples and decided to shop around at the multiple other hardwood stores in the local area. That honestly turned out to be a waste of time. The other flooring stores did not have the selection, large displays, low prices, and overall professionalism that Simple Floors possess. We went back to their store and bought an incredible hand scraped acacia floor called Golden Topaz. They did not have the flooring we picked out in stock at the store. It would've been nice to take it right then but we had it at our house in about five days which really isn’t that bad. We had it delivered then installed by an installer that they recommended which also surprisingly went very well. The floor has been down for a month or so now and it looks amazing and the both of us needless to say a very pleased. Definitely shop around but we encourage you to start at Simple Floors.

Pros: Price, showroom, customer service, quality of product.

Cons: Some items are not available immediately.

This store is so helpful! Not only do they have a ton of selection (I was looking for bamboo floors - it's not easy to find anything but the standard kind) but they are very informative about the pros and cons of each kind of floor. I ended up with some Cork Flooring too, for my kitchen - I didn't know much about it before going into the store, but it's been installed for two months now & I couldn't be happier. Very eco & nice on the feet. Also they have large samples so you can really get an idea of what the floor will look like. They had the best pricing I could find, and it only took a couple of weeks to get the bamboo I decided on for the rest of the house. V. satisfied with SimpleFloors; I have recommended it to many friends & coworkers!
