Celeb-Rated: Dino Cazares, Divine Heresy
By Rick Florino, Editor
While in Fear Factory, guitarist Dino Cazares played a bludgeoning style of industrial metal that combined percussive staccato guitar riffs with electronic textures. With his new band Divine Heresy, Cazares elevates a style he helped perfect to a whole new level of metallic power. When he's not writing crushing riffs and touring the world, the guitarist enjoys Los Angeles Mexican restaurants and hanging out at the Rainbow. He shared his favorite places to kick back with Citysearch.

El Tepeyac
812 N Evergreen Ave, Los Angeles, CA
"Tepeyac is in East LA. They have this burrito there called the "Montezuma Burrito." It literally can feed five people. If you can eat the whole burrito, they'll give you your meal for free, a gift card and all kinds of stuff. I tried it once, and I couldn't do it. That's why I like that place. The food there is down-home Mexican." -
Cactus Mexican Food
950 Vine St, Los Angeles, CA
"If you're out partying late at night in Hollywood at the Rainbow or somewhere and you want some tacos, go to a place called Cactus. It's on Vine, and it's a small taco shop. I've been going there since I was 17. They have the best tacos there. It's open until 4 in the morning. If you're leaving the bar 2:30 at night, that's the spot to go to." -
La Chapalita Tortilleria
1815 N Main St, Los Angeles, CA
"They make the dopest shrimp tacos. The batter that they cook the shrimp in is addictive! It's very good. You can get shrimp burritos, shrimp tacos and shrimp quesadillas. That's cool." -
Rainbow Bar & Grill
9015 W Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA
"The Rainbow's got the best steak. I'm trying to get them to put a burrito on the menu. I don't know if they're going to do it. I told them we can call it "Dino Burrito," but Mario the owner just kind of laughed. The steak is killer there." -
Tommy's Original Hamburger
2575 Beverly Blvd, Los Angeles, CA
"If you want something that gets stuck in your gut, get one of Tommy's Chili burgers. Tommy's tastes so good late at night. It's so bad, but so good."

Waffle House
1701 Northside Dr NW, Atlanta, GA
"I like Waffle House. We had a tour laminate one time, and it was the shrunken down menu of Waffle House so we already knew what we wanted to order before we got there! They have killer pork chops there." -
Whataburger
3636 N Main St, Houston, TX
"I love Whataburger. I just love it for the name. I like it just because they're better. They're definitely better than White Castle, Jack in the Box and Wendy's. Whataburger blows them all away." -
Peter Luger Steak House
178 Broadway, Brooklyn, NY
"It's on the outskirts of Brooklyn. My girlfriend told me about it. It's got an old Irish vibe to it. It's a restaurant that's been there for so long. The steak that came out was as thick as my arm, but when you cut it, it's like butter. We couldn't even eat it all. We ordered one steak for the both of us, and we had to take some of it home." -
House of Blues
329 N Dearborn St, Chicago, IL
"They take care of you with the food and everything. They're clean, and they've got showers." -
Roseland Ballroom
239 W 52nd St, New York, NY
"That was a place that I really liked playing a lot. When I was in Fear Factory, we played there so many times, we were like fixtures there. We knew everyone there from the owners to the guys that swept the floor at night after the show. We could do no wrong there."
